What is RSS?

Brief Overview

RSS is a file format which is used widely on the internet for syndication of content. It allows website publishers to notify users of new content without requiring a visit to the website. Of the major browsers, only Internet Explorer 6 lacks RSS support – you can find a list of RSS readers online or for download.

If you would like to read a much more complete and detailed overview of RSS, check the entry for RSS in wikipedia.
